About me
Cheryl is the Assistant Managing Director at McIntosh Sustainable Environment and Economic Development (McSEED), a non-profit organization located in Darien, GA.
Cheryl works to strengthen families and marginalized communities with a focus on education, economic development, empowerment, and environmental preservation. Cheryl helps families with strategies for land retention, family legacy, and generational wealth. Cheryl also assists with the management of the 1148+ acres of the McSEED Community Forest.
Cheryl worked on a project to build local food systems and agricultural value-chains in the Deep South: Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi, which has been featured in the following publications and case studies:

In 2021, Cheryl was nominated and selected for The Conservation Fund’s “Women Making Conservation History” recognition.
Cheryl created McIntosh SEED’s “Teas and Trees” Program, which is specifically designed to assist female landowners with education and technical assistance, to improve their knowledge of healthy forests and to help them implement sustainable conservation practices.
In 2021, Cheryl was nominated and selected for The Conservation Fund’s “Women Making Conservation History” recognition.
Cheryl is a former educator and principal. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education, a Master of Science in Administration and Supervision and certified as a Teacher Support Specialist.

Cheryl loves being with her family and friends. She loves traveling, DIY-home improvement projects, landscaping, reading, and gardening.
